The lone Scots pine and unusual rocks in the foreground caught my attention as I felt they helped ephasise the almost timeless, ancient landscape of this stunning area. I waited for some time for a very short burst of light to catch the rock in the foreground. I like the contrast between the Scots pine which appears full of life, and the dead Scots pines - it emphasises that conitions here are often harsh.
